Join us for a leathercraft workshop at Soetmelksvlei, a delightful new excursion by Babylonstoren. Here, master tanner and leathercrafter Klaas van der Wal will guide you through the steps of cleaning, tanning and cutting sheepskin. You will learn to braid leather strips that can be used in a variety of applications, such as belts, bangles, halters and basic whips. After a hands-on morning in the farm air, we’ll enjoy a hearty lunch in the Old Stables Restaurant before heading back to Babylonstoren.
