DESCRIPTION:Observe our master butcher in his element in this hands-on workshop. Come and make your own salami at Soetmelksvlei\, a new Babylonstoren excursion. The team will demonstrate how to break down a carcass\, after which the pork and large intestine will be used to create the salami. The use of this natural sausage casing is an age-old skill. Guests will also learn to debone pork into its primary cuts – coppa\, pancetta\, loin and leg. \n

DESCRIPTION:The African Bonsai Convention takes place from 8-10 November in the Stellenbosch town hall. Bonsai is an ancient art from the East where trees are artistically designed to create beautiful emotions. Close to 200 of the best bonsai in South Africa by various top artists will be on display. There will be workshops\, demonstrations and talks by the best local and overseas artist not to be missed. This event is open to the public from 09:00 to 17:00 every day. Sunday is until 15:00.
